Hi everyone! My name is Andrey and I love traveling. For over a year now, my wife, my daughter, and I have been living in Germany. I’m learning German and I’m really into retro computers and old-school video games.

I was born in Omsk, a city in Siberia, Russia — probably not many people have heard of it :) The winters there can be -35°C, and summers +35°C. When I was around 25, I got into hitchhiking. I traveled by hitchhiking even in winter through Yakutia, where temperatures can drop to -60°C. I’ve also hitchhiked across Kazakhstan, Armenia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, and many other countries — more than 30,000 kilometers in total.

My family and I are political refugees. It became unsafe for us to stay in Russia, so we left, and Germany kindly gave us shelter
