About Me
Hello, my name is Laura. I live in Trier, the oldest city in Germany (fun fact) and recently finished university with a master‘s degree in teaching English and History. Travelling is my passion and I love to explore other countries and cultures and share my own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think places are made of the people that live there. Couchsurfing gives people the opportunity to easily reach out to others and simply share. If it's only a couch, maybe even a bed and in the end a nice conversation and some tips and tricks what to do in that respective place it already makes the place so much better and you can see what not everybody gets to see. The body and soul of a place.
That being said, I wanna see the world and frankly I don't have any money (who does really?!), but money doesn't make you happy anyway, so let's get together, grab a beer/glass of wine/coffee/tea/soda and share experiences and life stories.
Interests
There are a gazillion things I'm interested in ranging from nerdy TV shows (Game of Thrones, Grey's Anatomy) over history to sports. I like all kinds of sports, literature and languages. I'm not to bad at video games what some people might interpret as nerdy too but I'm a little proud of it. I like talking to people, learn about their culture if it is different from mine (which doesn't mean I don't want to learn anything about my own culture) and find new friends which is kind of the purpose of couchsurfing I guess.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like all kinds of music, from rock to charts to classic music. All time favorites are Macklemore and Ryan Lewis. Their lyrics just speak to my heart.
Pretty much the same goes for movies, except horror. I really don't like horror movies.
My favorite books of all time are the Harry Potter series. Don't judge, I grew up with them. Apart from this I like novels and poetry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived in the USA for one year and traveled to most parts of the country.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can talk, so I can share and I can listen, so I can learn.
I'm also (almost) a teacher, so I guess I can teach you stuff :D
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am open about sharing my culture and life stories. My decent cooking skills can be my form of payment (no bragging intended) :-)
