My name is Karma, I am 25, Canadian; My fiancé Ben is 33 and from the UK. Both of us met while traveling in New Zealand and moved to the UK with the plan of leaving soon and continuing our travels after saving some money. We ended up staying for 2 years and near the end we got sick of working everyday at jobs that didn't make us happy, so we made the decision to quit our jobs, we saved a decent amount of money, sold our stuff and bought two one way plane tickets to India.

We want to do Couchsurfing to really get to know the local people of India and get to see the real sights and get a good feel that tourists don't get to experience. We want to see India through a different perspective.

Also we are on Couchsurfing so we can try to keep our travel cost down and enjoy doing other things while in India. We didn't save as much money as we would have liked, so we are traveling on a shoestring that is why Couchsurfing is the best option for us to stretch our money to the fullest and still have a good time and experience this country to the fullest.
