Overview
About Me
I'm a very openminded person, who likes to experience and learn a lot and from whatever comes up to me. I use most of my spare time to do sports, going out with people, beeing in the nature, get to know something cultural or having discussions about whatever comes to my mind. ¨
SPORTS (Volleyball, mountainbiking, cycling, crosscountry-skiing, snowboarding, running, swimming, hiking)
To recover I enjoy beeing in nature, lisitening to any sort of good music, cooking and/or eating delicious food and sleeping.
FOOD (selfmade sushi, curry, pizza, salmon, celery)
I grew up in a smal village in the swiss alps. My curiosity for new things might be due to that.. About two years ago, I moved to Zurich to study. But the main part of studying is to evolve yourself - no matter if it's in an academic or in a personal way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have no experience in couchsurfing.
I'm heading to Berlin for an exchange and couldn't find a place to stay. I'll search for a room as soon as I get to Berlin but for my first few days I would be glad to find a couch, a hallway or matress somewhere. Even if it's only for a night. :)
The only time I've stayed for some time in an Air BnB, I got a reference as the best guest the host has ever had. That maybe does count as well?
Interests
I get hooked up very easily and get enthusiastic about everything (if you are). So it might be easier to say what I'm not interessted in:
- Gossip
- unreasonable negativity
- drama
- theoretical physics or similar (it actually is interesting, but my math-skills simply can't keep up with that)
- music
- sports
- nature
- people
- poetry slam
- discovering
Music, Movies, and Books
My taste in music changes due to my current mood or situation I'm in. But roughly, I would name
- Mumford and Sons
- Kygo
- Tschaikovsky
- Butch
and many, many more. Actually, despite of (most) HipHop and Metal, I find pleasure with all music.
As I'm not that much of a reader I can't say anything particular about a book. The same goes with movies, but I generally love watching Disney movies or stuff like the Great Gatsby or Shutter Island. (Yes.. I like Leonardo Di Caprio). My last seen series is Lucifer, which I recomend anyone to watch, who hasen't seen it already!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hard to tell but I'd go with spontaneously heading for Vienna with a friend. Whilst the Uni was on, we decided after the lecture that we'd like to visit Vienna and so we took of with the night-train and ended with anything but some money, non charged mobilephones and some wine in Vienna where we tramped around the city, got to know some friendly people and headed two days later back to Switzerland.
.. or going for a swim early in the morning in a smal mountain lake is quite breathtaking as well.
.. participating in a triathlon.
.. beeing the representative for the UK at the ski worldcup in my hometown.
.. teaching myself the cupsong.
What I Can Share with Hosts
An easy-going and respectful company, most likely interesting discussions, some swissgerman or rumantsch (which is the fourth, and very rarely spoken swiss national language), some knowledge about gin, food, my grandmother's handpicked mushroom-spices (absolutely delicous), an open ear for listening, a warm heart for huggs and a cold laugh for dark humour.
Also, I can leave you alone if you prefere to be for yourself.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United States
