Hello everyone!

I'm Maria and I'm 24 years old! I was born in Figueres, a city in northern Catalonia very close to France. I landed in Girona when starting my University degree and now I'm living in Figueres again because I found a job.

I am currently working full-time as an Employment consultant, specifically I'm working for a program aimed at young people between 16 to 29 years old. This program is called "Garantia Juvenil", youth guarantee in english.

What else? I believe that travelling is one of the best experiences in life so I like like to take the most of the holidays I have. Love to never stop learning new things; learning keeps me alive. Now I'm now I'm studying a postgraduate in social and labor intervention. I also love nature and spend my free time as a volunteer in a scout group.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is my first experience in couchsurfing but i have lots of friends who recommended me to use it.

I think this tool can be grat to meet amazing people with common interests and share unforgettable moments. Also is a great platform for learing about new cultures and practicing languages.

Interests

Love volunteering in my scout group where I organize activities for my group of teenagers and we go hiking together in the mountains. It's with my volunteer colleagues that I feel that I can be myself and explore all my capacities. I really enjoy being outdoors, the pleasure of being around a bonfire we lit to warm us up when the night is cold and the satifaction you feel when arriving to the summit or arriving to end of your route, tired but happy for the good moments spent.

I am also fond of theatre, do sport and the animals.
