I am an Egyptian currently doing my PhD in UniKiel, Germany. I lived most of my life in Cairo, Egypt except for 2 years in Rome, Italy.
I am a dentist, your worst nightmare I know :D But you could have a free consultation as well (look at the bright side) :D
I assume that I am a funny, fun loving person and the good news is that you don't have to worry about my bad qualities because they need 3-6 month as a minimum to start appearing :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet up, host and surf with interesting people from different cultures and backgrounds. I believe in people and how a random person can change ones life even if unintentionally.
I I didn't host or surf yet, but there is always a first time and i am looking forward to it :)

Interests

I am a nature lover and I have a weak spot specially for water in any form and wherever it is.
A cozy cafe, a cup of good coffee and a delicious cake means the world to me. Combine that with a good conversation and I can keep going for 24 hours non-stop.
Bicycle is my favorite human invention.

Music, Movies, and Books

My type of music depends on the situation or the mood mixing some rock, jazz, blues, alternative music and pop but I like to listen to even more genres from time to time. My favorite band is Mashrou' Leila a Lebanese Arabic rock band. I like Amy winehouse, Lana Del Rey, Florence and The Machine, Adam Smith, Hozier and Coldplay. When it comes to arabic, I like Kazem El Saher, Amr Diab, Mohamed Mounir, Maryam Saleh, Carole Samaha, Julia Boutros and Terez Soliman.
When it comes to movies the list is huge but my favorites are Incendies, V for vendetta, Cast away, Agora, The sunset limited, The intouchables, A beautiful mind, Rain man, 50/50, Saw, The exorcism of emily rose, Detachment, and The experiment . For animation, Inside out, Toy story, The brave little toaster, A bug's life and dipecable me. A lot of documentaries as well, Earthings, Sicko, Our daily bread and . Added to that short animated movies and short documentaries. My favorite series of all time is Game of thrones.
As hard as it was with music and movies, books are even harder :D Reading is my way to get to know myself and the world. I like to mix non-fiction and fiction books but mainly non-fiction. Boring I know :D My favorite non-fiction books are Freakonomics, predictably Irrational, How we learn, emotional intelligence, mindset,the definitive book of body language The 7 habits and Philosophy for everyday life. For fiction, 1984, 11 minutes and Middlesex. The arabic books, متاهات الوهم, عزازيل ,النبطي, أولاد حارتنا, ظل الأفعي, دوامات التدين, نص كتاب, ثلاثية غرناطة, قصة الاقتصاد المصري, البحث عن جسد, نص كتاب, اللاهوت العربي و أصول العنف الديني و الحقيقة الغائبة.

I believe that to teach is to touch a life so I am always eager to teach anyone anything I know. Whatever I have that you find interest in, don't hesitate to ask.
I appreciate any help with yoga, meditation, playing musical instruments, dancing and skateboarding (I fall a lot).
