Overview
About Me
Hello!
We are a couple from Izmir, Turkey, with a deep passion for traveling the world and immersing ourselves in new cultures. My husband, Kaan, and I love meeting new people, exchanging stories, and learning about different ways of life. We believe that every person we meet has something valuable to teach us, and that's what makes our journey so exciting. When we're not traveling, we enjoy exploring the beautiful landscapes and rich history of our hometown, Izmir. We're easygoing, respectful, and always eager to make new friends along the way. Looking forward to connecting with fellow travelers and locals alike!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We're here to connect with locals, share experiences, and explore cultures from a genuine perspective. Couchsurfing offers a unique way to make new friends and see the world through the eyes of those who live there. We love the idea of exchanging stories and building lasting connections wherever we go.
Interests
I’m passionate about discovering new cultures, trying different cuisines, and exploring the hidden gems of each place I visit. I enjoy reading, particularly books about history and philosophy, as they give me a deeper understanding of the world. I’m also a big fan of outdoor activities like hiking and tennis, which help me stay connected to nature and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
In my free time, I love experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, especially dishes from the places I’ve traveled to. Music is another big part of my life—I enjoy everything from classical to modern tunes, and I believe it’s a universal language that brings people together. Lastly, I’m always up for a good conversation over a cup of coffee or tea, where we can exchange ideas and share experiences.

Teach, Learn, Share
I’d love to share my knowledge of Turkish culture, language, and traditions. I can teach you basic Turkish phrases, how to make traditional dishes like menemen or börek, and introduce you to the fascinating history of Turkey. If you're interested in Turkish tea or coffee culture, I can show you how to prepare and enjoy them the traditional way!
Additionally, my husband, Kaan, can introduce you to the rich traditions of Azerbaijani culture. Whether it’s the unique art of preparing plov, sharing folk music like mugham, or discussing the shared yet distinct history between Azerbaijan and Turkey, we’d love to offer you a cultural experience from both worlds.
