My name is Hessel and I'm 21 years old. I've lived in the Netherlands for my entire life and I currently study law. My hobby's include football, making music(mainly playing guitar) and going out for a beer with my friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This summer, 2016, a friend of mine and I are off on a new adventure: backpacking through Eastern Europe. We thought it'd be fun to try couchsurfing, so we can share stories with locals and get introduced to whatever place we'll be visiting at that time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different music, but mostly hiphop and rock. Lately I've been listening a lot of Kendrick Lamar and Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I tend to switch things up a lot every couple weeks.
The only books I'm really into are the Song of Ice and Fire novels by George RR Martin, which is the work the popular TV show Game of Thrones is based off of. I'm not much of a recreational reader besides those.
There are a lot of movies I really enjoy within a pretty wide range of genres. The first movie that comes to mind when I'm asked which one is my favourite would have to be "The Prestige", however.
