About Me
Hey there! Hola! I'm 21 years old and currently studying Sociology on Universidad Católica de Chile. I'm the youngest member of my family, and I'm currently the only one living in my house with my parents, for my sister and his husband are living and studying in London.
I consider myself being a very outgoing person, who loves to meet new people and specially if I can learn from them and they can learn a little from me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As my sister is living in London, her room has been available for anyone to drop by and stay at nights; so I thought I could make use of it by offering people to stay!
Also, I love meeting people from other countries, and as I said before, learning from them, have fun and experience other cultures, languages and perspectives and, of course, meet new friends!
Interests
Mainly, I love music, arts, films, reading, go out to concerts at small or large venues, museums, theatre plays, etc. I consider culture and arts being a very important part of my life, so nowadays I'm really focused on studies about aesthetics, social theory and film aesthetic.
Also, I pretty much like conversating with others, playing instruments (I play bass guitar), being with my friends and writing poetry/short stories. Clothing is also something I like, many times I go out through Santiago looking for second hand clothing stores and fairs. I consider being a very urban guy, who loves hanging around parks and streets, and Santiago is full of them!

Music, Movies, and Books
Musically, I can be very eclectic; from modern classical music, to heavy metal, afrobeat, psychedelic rock, punk and garage rock, opera and 60's pop music, I pretty much like a wide range of genres. My favourite bands are The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, R.E.M. and The Velvet Underground.
My favourite movies are horror movies (from B-class suck-ass old horror flicks to stuff like The Shining), gangster/mob movies (Goodfellas, The Godfather, Mean Streets, you get the idea) and stoner-idiot comedies because why not?
I'm a book-worm and love to read pretty much anything; from poetry, short stories and novels, to non-fiction books and essays. My favourite authors are the whole Beat generation, Bukowski, James Joyce, Vicente Huidobro, Julio Cortázar, Allan Poe, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling through Bolivia, we met with some Bolivian youngsters who told us to visit Sorata, a small, colonial-style town in the upper side of La Paz, a region called "Yungas"... It has really been one of the most amazing places I've been, where we walked through high, scarped Andes valleys and forests, until we encountered the city being illuminated by the afternoon sun. Also, other amazing thing I've done is being at Bocas del Toro, Panama and visit the 1,542,523 (yeah, the number is exaggerated) little islands that were around the archipielago of Bocas. Truly remarkable experiences.
