About Me
Hi! my name is Oscar Cortes Landa from Tijuana, Mexico. I was born in San Diego, California so I have both nationalities, but have lived all my life in Mexico . I recently graduate from architecture and have a very strong interest in exploring new paradigms and realities that's way I love traveling and getting to know other societies and cultures. I lived in Málaga, Spain for a study abroad year and was one of the most incredible experience so far, I have traveled threw most of Europe, Africa (Morocco and Sahara desert) ,North America (United States and Mexico) and South America (Chile and Argentina), im into architecture of course, history, arts, sports, philosophy, reading novels, drawing, good at partying... and really like meeting new people and expanding my knowledge.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that couchsurfing its a great way of meeting the locals, knowing the city and of course saving some money!
Interests
I really like sports, I've been an athlete most of my life, played basketball, baseball, football and athletics.
As for architecture my interest goes beyond , I believe you have to have culture and knowledge of other things such as economics, politics, philosophy, history etc, It always fascinates me to know the past of the cities I visit
I also like reading historical novels, sketching, going to the beach (I live in the Pacific coast) dancing and going out to party.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a lot of music facets...my favorite music to listen during the day or while im driving or working is rock, to study I prefer classical music or deep house and during the night I like strong electronic music but to party and dance my favorite is Latin music.

. Sci-Fi (some of theme...I love speculating about the future but only a few are really good ones)
Books:
Historical novels, favorite authors: Noah Gordon , Valerio Massimo Manfredi and Ken Follet.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking threw Europe, Africa and South America...
I was recently invited to participate and present at the Biennale di Venezia of architecture 2018 it is the most important architecture event/forum/exhibition of the world! So im really proud of it.
