About Me

I do not like these kinds of descriptions, so I will describe myself in situations and decisions I would make in those situations. If I see somebody who needs help I do not ask questions, I just approach him/her and I am trying to help him/her. I am volunteering a lot, so helping others for no reason, is very natural for me. There were situations when people did not really appreciated my effort, but I still (maybe naively) believe that there is inherent good in every person. If there are two ways to do something, I am always going to do it by the harder way. I love trying new challenges, stepping out of my comfort zone and pushing myself to my personal limits. Also when there is something needed to be done, I am doing it with my 100% effort, I would rather not do it than do it without full effort.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Till now I did not have enough possibilities to travel somewhere, and from now on, I want to change it. I found out that travelling to abroad country with on a school-trip is extremely boring for me. When I am in some country, I want to get to know habits of locals, their way of thinking, favorite places where they spend their free time, best places for dating, taste the local kitchen and local beer... Classical hotels, restaurants and bars are too fake for me. I want to see real face of the location, its positives and negatives, and this is only possible if i will live for some time with local person, and if he/she will show and tell me about all these things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are few things I have done and I consider them amazing, and I want to mention them to draw a more realistic picture of me. I managed once to persuade totally unknown girl in public transportation, to give me her phone number during 15 minutes :). I acted (small role) in a movie about holocaust- I was part of the crowd of jews in the movie. I won national round of public speaking competition, and I was second in a European round. And finally, I was one of instructors on course of survival in winter nature, where we hiked and lived for a week in a tents in -10 to -15°C.

Teach, Learn, Share

I lead debating club in our school, so I can teach some debating basics, I am part of Slovak Toastmasters so I can share some knowledge of public speaking, I am lector of informal education in one Slovak organization (also know-how) and I can share some tips on how to become "ice-bear" and how to survive winter without illness.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Funny stories, a bit of wisdom I learnt during my short life, enthusiasm, good mood and some tasty biscuits. :)
