About Me

By profession, I am a journalist-turned-development practitioner presently assisting an NGO set up its Eco-tourism unit in the Periyar region of Kerala.

By passion, I am road-schooling myself almost everyday. I am curious and so, I am highly restless, which qualifies me to be a frequent traveler. I stumble upon new cultures and bump into new lifestyles quite often, courtesy my profession :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Strangers to me are much more closer than my immediate family, as they happen to be my teachers, guides and hitch-hiked friends on the way -- some are literally soul mates. Couchsurfing seems to be a fun way to spot new members of this ever-growing family tree :)

Interests

I lost the count in a much early phase of my life. The more the merrier and so, a beginner at something always.

Sports, road travel, dance, martial arts, music, designing, reading, a new language, food, socializing, simply cutting off to my own world, being lost, almost everything is equally interesting and that's precisely how my regular day looks like.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can dance to the tune of almost any song depending entirely on my mood. From Pitbull to Chris Martin, Mohit Chauhan to Lucky Ali, random radio picks to old Bollywood music with a few all time favorites, everything works. Music works.

Trippy day (the oh-the-world-is-so-beautiful kinda day) calls for action movies + romcoms + sports/speed oriented ones. A day full of realizations makes my laptop switch to the 'Remember me', 'Crazy, beautiful', 'If only', 'Motorcycle Diaries', 'Dhobighat'and the like.

When it comes to reading, I am more of a newspaper and a blog person but one book a month (mostly non-fiction) does make its way -- 'Flashboys', 'Fooled by randomness' or the ones by Dr Kalam.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, one is too many and a thousand is not enough. But for the sake of listing 'the one' experience, I think shaving off my head was definitely a turning point.

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes, that's the idea, exactly what life revolves around.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good food, amazing stories, road trips, life-changing long and intellectual conversations on the beach or silence on the rooftop under those starry starry nights and most importantly, a friend whom you call on any random day of the year for your instant travels ;)

One life, let's make it responsibly WILD ;)
