I've lived in the great state of Alaska since 2010 with my husband and two yellow labs. I enjoy hiking, skiing, fishing, swimming and most of all traveling. I love seeing, exploring and discovering new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend recently told me about his great experiences couch surfing in Louisiana and Switzerland. It sounds like a great way to enjoy being a temporary local wherever you travel. I love traveling and getting to know people while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all music. The last year I have enjoyed a book club with friends. Over the past year I've read All the Light We Cannot See, The Immortal Life of Henrietta, Midnight in Siberia, I am Malala and lots of nursing books. Movies, some of my old favorites are Run Fat Boy Run a hilarious British Comedy, Just Go With It, Chocolate, and Lonesome Dove.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ummm. A couple of years ago my husband and I enjoyed backpacking Europe. It was awesome to stay at Europe camp sites. We were able explore so many beautiful places and meet so many awesome people.
After Hurricane Katrina I visited New Orleans twice to help clean up and build Habitat for Humanity houses.
