About Me

I am a 21 year old female student from Colombia who likes to read, travel, and meet new people. My hobbies are yoga, biking, reading and watching movies. I like adapting to new circumstances and learning from them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently in an exchange program with the University of Copenhagen to study philosophy. I find couchsurfing useful for traveling and meeting new people. Besides, my plan is to travel around Europe during a six-month period in a way that I need less money as possible because I believe that traveling shouldn't be something that only some people can afford because of high income. I believe the more you struggle with a budget when traveling the more you get to know people and learn from them. I want to live in a world in which enjoying is possible without consuming all the time.

Interests

I am interested in learning about different cultures, knowing new places and people. I love nature and challeging myself with new experiences.

My favorite books are Mother Night by Kurt Vonnegut, The unbearable lightness of being by Milan Kundera, Lo que no tiene nombre by Piedad Bonnet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled around Colombia for 20 days with a budget of 260 dollars in which I jummped in waterfalls, enjoyed the sun in beautiful beaches, became friends with a lot of people and saw the value of things that don't have to do with money.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach spanish, I have experience working in summer camps with children, I make great pasta and salads, I know colombian cuisine. I recently learned how to make vegetarian burgers so that would be my speciality.
I am willing to learn about everything, from languages to cooking.
I can share my life experiences traveling and living in my country (Colombia) that has such a special and different culture and so many beautiful places to recomend.
