Hello there! My name is Kaitlin and I'm 22. I'm one year out of college where I studied chemistry and biology, pre-med. I currently live in downtown New Haven and do research at Yale School of Medicine. I LOVE to travel, but duh! Who doesn't?! I've had a few experiences abroad and have found that I get the best experiences when I stay with host families, so couch surfing seemed perfect for me. I love learning about new cultures and attempting to learn new languages. I am all about trying everything once and am always down for tying new foods and doing crazy stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Tanzania on a medical trip to shadow doctors, I got to help deliver 7 babies in under 2 hours! I was running back and forth getting oxytocin, swaddling newborns, cutting umbilical cords, it was awesome!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have almost no practical skills to offer, other than I will always make an enthusiastic effort! I'm a sub-par cook, but I have mastered the art of boiling pasta and constructing weird sandwiches with whatever is left in the fridge. I have plenty of travel stories to share and a wealth of knowledge about basic science research (really useful, I know).
