About Me

I'm a recent college graduate from Colorado, but studied in Florida to see more of the world. I studied Physics and Mathematics for my degree and hope to eventually work on Nuclear power plants as a career(if you are interested I would love to discuss it!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The experience of moving to a completely new and foreign place(to me) for college lead to a love of meeting new people and seeing new things. Before graduating, while every one of my friends was picking a grad school or setting themselves up for a career, I decided I wanted to take a year off and travel Europe to see as much of the world while I could. This is why I hope to couch-surf my way around the many beautiful countries that continent has to offer.

Interests

Movies are my biggest interest, followed close behind by video games(mostly immersive RPG's). I could easily be described as a cinephile and will watch basically any film, good, bad, great, romance, comedy, especially horror, and the occasional drama. Other than those, I absolutely love to learn. Math and physics hold a large part of my heart, but history is always something I've been interested in. Through college, I've learned to love dark beers, and if my hosts want to introduce me to any European brews I'd be overly excited to try them.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is probably the hardest category to fill out for me. I really like most every type of music, and can filter my tastes to the tastes of those around me. As for movies, my favorites are too numerous to list but you can assume they are varied in both objective quality and genre. Books; well the sad fact is I seldom actually read. I realize this is contrary to my love of learning, but the truth is I've never quite enjoyed reading, and so I only do it out of necessity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During high school I was lucky enough to play a sport or be active in clubs all four years I attended, while keeping my grade point average high enough to graduate as my school's valedictorian. This qualified me for a near full ride scholarship and acceptance as a Daniels Fund Scholar.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach, and after a career of working on nuclear power plants I hope to turn to teaching high school or middle school math and physics later in life. As for learning, I'll soak up any information offered to me with glee. I am however interested in increasing my fluency with the German language. I studied it for three semesters in college but I figure if it's the only language I'm able to converse in, I'll get better.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Honestly, I'm not exactly sure what to put here. I work hard when asked; physical or mental labor, I do my best to always be polite and courteous, and I like to have fun when there's time for it(but really who doesn't). I do however offer my personal experiences, from living in America, to being in college, vacationing in Mexico, and visiting numerous places across the U.S. throughout my life. I only hope that my hosts are as willing to share their experiences with me.
