Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Adrienne and I'm a 23 year old student from Toronto, Canada but I am currently based in Cebu, Philippines for university.
I'm studying to become a dentist, hoping to feed all my wanderlust after I graduate from school in about 2-3 years time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think that in places like America and Canada, many parents see travel as a reward - it's something that you do after you've finished school, gotten a job, and made some money. I think that being able to travel and pursuit other passions at the same time should be an option that everyone has, and let's face it - the prices of accommodation can be more unforgiving than that plane ticket you just purchased.
I've always loved to immerse myself in my surroundings, to become consumed with experiences. I think that being around different people just makes that experience better - you get a real sense of what a place has to offer by interacting and becoming friends with its people; the heart of any city or country.

JD Salinger novels - Catcher in the Rye is my favorite book of all time.
Jane Austen - I've read Pride and Prejudice too many times to count, and own all the movie adaptations of her novels.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't think of a particular thing I've done that I would say is "amazing". I guess I just feel that I'm still living my life, and if I think about it right now, I would just have to honestly tell you that I'd have to travel to the future and look at my life as a whole and then tell you my most amazing accomplishments.
I just live my life day-to-day, hoping that I stay happy, find new inspirations and dreams, feed my ambitions, and make others laugh.
I guess that in itself is amazing, to keep loving and living though life constantly wants to give you a difficult time of things.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to teach people to slow down. I've noticed that people want to do things so quickly, to just finish a task, and be completely done with it. There is so much to enjoy and things are better when you slow down and simplify your life.
I want to learn about different people and different places - what inspires them, what scares them, what they dream of, and what they have learned. I want to collect as much knowledge and experience as I can by making friends with people I've never met and places I've never been to.
I want to share my experiences, my thoughts, my ideas - my friendship. I think that's one of the most valuable things you can take away from travelling - making a friend.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with you my magical cooking skills and in-depth trivia knowledge.
I can also share with you college drinking games you've never heard of and bartender-esque tricks you've never seen. Impress your friends and use what I've taught you.
