About Me

Hi everyone!

First and foremost, let me tell you that I understand and speak English, but my English is not perfect. That's why I wanted to apologize beforehand for all the mistakes I am certainly going to make!

So what can I say to introduce myself? I live for the moment in a house with my mother Sandrine, my grandfather Jacques and my twin brother Vincent who is unfortunately handicapped, without forgetting Grisouille, my cat!

I spent my childhood in Saint-Denis, a city in the suburb of Paris, then we moved to Rignac when I was 9.
This is a village located at 2 hours from Toulouse and 2 and a half hours from Montpellier. So since I have a car, I can bring you there if you are interested in visiting one of these cities.

For now, I have no job but I undertake to go back to college to study ethnology. Why ethnology? Because I want to go off to explore the world and meet communities often unknown by the rest of the world. I think that the discovery of distant peoples, cultures and knowledges is definitely a source of intellectual and personal enrichment.

I talked about faraway communities, but I think of course that we can learn and enrich ourselves just by talking with people who are closer to us too: a stranger, a neighbour/neighbor, a friend... There are obviously many things and values to learn from the others and the interest we carry to people can only exacerbate the interest which we carry to the Human being in its biggest diversity and its simplest unity.
Anyway! I believe in sharing, and I'm sure you do to! Otherwise, you wouldn't be on CS? right? ;)

Concerning my personality, I am open-minded, easy-going and quite calm and discreet.

Well, that's pretty much all what I found to say about me, but I have again one last thing to add: if you are an intolerant person (racist, homophobic or anything else), please, stay away from me! But I'm not worried, I'm sure you're not! ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always dreamt about travelling the word, learning about foreigner cultures, discovering new landscapes and meeting local people but never had the occasion. CS seeems to be the perfect way to do it and make wonderfull meetings. That's why I'm here.
I would also be honoured/honored to host people and make them discover where I live. But for now, I unfortunately don't have the possibility to host anyone but I am doing my best to change it. Then, I will be delighted to welcome you into my home!

Interests

Listening to music (I could do this all day long), playing the bass and the guitar, singing, hanging out in bars and drinking a beer with friends (or alone! why not? ), hearing the birds singing when the sun is rising, meeting new people... Actually, I don't really know; I'll list them one day.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I am very eclectic, but what I love most is blues: Janis Joplin (my godess!), Dani Wilde, Joanne Shaw Taylor, Susan Tedeschi and so much more... I also like rock/hard rock music (ACDC, Guns N'Roses, Melissa Etheridge, Joan Jett, Izia, Nirvana...). I'm also a huge fan of Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone... Well, I think I have to stop, the list is too long!

Movies and series:
Game of Thrones, Disney movies (don't judge me), Harry Potter, Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra, The Wave, Inception, Boys don't cry, Amistad, The Bridges of Madisson County, Out of Africa, Avatar...

Books:
Les Fleurs du Mal (Flowers of Evil) by Baudelaire, lots of plays by Molière, Morts sans sépulture by J.P Sarte (don't know the English translation), Rhinocéros by Ionesco, Le petit prince by Saint-Exupéry

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a very open-minded person, so you can teach me and talk about anything you want, I'll always be interested. In return, I can talk about my country, try to answer your questions and teach you 2 or 3 guitar chords -unless you already play the guitar, then you will have to teach me! ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Everything that you want as far as possible

Countries I’ve Visited
