Overview
About Me
"The sound of a jet, an engine warming up, even the clopping of shod hooves on pavement brings on the ancient shudder, the dry mouth and vacant eye, the hot palms and the churn of stomach high up under the rib cage. In other words, once a bum always a bum. I fear this disease incurable.... A journey is a person in itself; no two are alike. And all plans, safeguards, policing, and coercion are fruitless. We find after years of struggle that we not take a trip; a trip takes us.” - John Steinbeck, Travel with Charley: In Search of America.
This tells pretty much about me. I love Literature & Traveling. I get on the road to search, and I have been always in search - of myself.
Besides all the excitement a trip offers, I love the feeling of being a stranger in a place without any specific identity. It's lonely & free.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To connect - to host, to find host, to meet up.
I never get bored listening to everyone's journey. Each has its own character and it tells quite a lot about whom it takes. And I collect good stories for 'fuel' :)
Interests
There is a small bookshelf in my house in Hoian, and you're welcome to pick your favorite during your stay. Most of them are literature, psychology & business.
I'm pretty into psychology. It's more about curiosity of the mechanism of human. I can devour and listen restlessly to all the MBTI shit, scocionics, enneagram,...you name it.
I love collecting spices and learn to cook dishes from different countries.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music varies
Movies: my fav are V for Vendetta, Fight Club, Tuesdays with Morries, Dead Poets Society.
Books (mentioned quite a lot above). You know Carl. Jung, Murakami, WH Auden, Charles Bukowski, Dostoyevsky... Well, friend, enough for an overnight talk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
trekking here and there. Reaching the east, west, the north & south end of Vietnam; reaching the highest mountain of Indochina. But honestly, things were pretty smooth, so I dont think those are so significant.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my books and give you a place to sleep in Hoian. That's all I have for now. :)) For other things, let's see how our souls connect.
