About Me

My mantra for this year of my life is "Alive and Awake at 38." So far the mantra is vibrating in every aspect of my life!

For me, to be alive means to be present in the moment, to accept and trust all is occurring around me no matter what that entails, to feel and respect my emotions and give them a safe place to be expressed, to acknowledge and appreciate my own abilities and limitations, passions, and needs and to use my life energy to fulfil all that my heart and mind desires.

I am learning that to be awake is to be consciously aware of myself; my actions, my choice of words, my interactions with others, my performance and attitude toward work (both paid and volunteer), and my spiritual practice. This also represents for me my deep understanding that I have an abundance of life force and everything, I mean EVERYTHING, is possible.

I have traveled to many amazing spots in this world, lived in 2 different countries, challenged myself in ways I never imagined possible, and undergone some major life style changes.

Someone once said to me that once we get "old" we stop changing. I am living proof that this is not true. I continue to open new doors (even if it´s really scary at times), discovering new aspects of myself, gaining valuable skills and talents, and learning more about the individual and shared human experience.

The greatest benefit I receive while traveling is simply seeing new lands and meeting diverse cultures. Exploring each new place with the innocence and excitement of a curious child. I love adding to my lists of unbelievable experiences, friends, ideas and ways of life. I am not afraid of the unknown and I am willing to always try something once, or twice and hey, sometimes the trick is to just try a few more times to find out what I really like or do not like, what is really right for me or not right for me and from this willingness I am rich with experience, love, compassion, friendship, adventure and joy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Around 7 years ago, I met a guy in Israel who was traveling the world via Couchsurfing. I had never heard of it before and was fascinated by the idea. It didn´t seem "relevant" for me at the time, but as the years went on, I started to feel that I, too, could jump on this bandwagon. Even though it seemed a bit scary and unknown at first, I now understand it´s powerfulness and see that for many people it is an amazing opportunity and totally worth trying something new. As I travel through South America now, I hear memorable Couchsurfing stories; stories of friendship, parties, relationships, exchanges, learnings, and more. I decided to finally join this network and see for myself how incredible it is!

Interests

I love to dance, sing, meditate, practice yoga, stretch, play, travel, paint, write, listen to music, hike, swim, walk, hang out with friends, drink beer/wine/local cocktails, eat and (sometimes) cook, ski, laugh, meet new people, go to the beach, and try new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much love all music but my favorites include reggae, classic rock, Latin music, mantra/spiritual music, and good ole cheezy dancin music.

I like a lot of movies, but my favorite movie at this moment is "Inside Out." Brilliant film!

I used to love to read, but unfortunately, it seems to be a thing of the past for me with all the internet, social networks, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh wow, only one? I guess it would be that when I was 26 years old, I decided to move to Israel on my own, just following my gut that told me that I was meant to live there. 11 years later, I can say that it was a great decision! I built a very beautiful life for myself including supportive and loving friends, an awesome home (that I left for these travels), work that I love and one of the most amazing things of all is that I learned Hebrew... not an easy task.

Teach, Learn, Share

The beauty of the human experience keeps me learning, teaching and sharing all the time.

For me, it´s less about teaching or learning, but more about the exchange between me and others, me and physical spaces and me and this universe.

I believe that every moment is an opportunity for growth, for change, for transformation... we just have to open ourselves to such experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a Chakra Energy Reader, Energy Counselor and Laughter Yoga leader and from this place, I have a lot of knowledge and understanding of our experience in this life. I am a good conversationalist and a great communicator. I love to share and to listen. Many people say that I am a very supportive and loving friend, partner and healer.

I can share my joy, my wisdom, my relaxed nature and my traveling experiences.

Also, I can make the best salads!!!
