About Me

I love to go backpacking and have some experience thanks to the Scouting youth movement : I have been very fortunate to travel across europe with the youth movement, being it as leader or as cook.

My biggest adventure (so far) has been travelling through Scandinavia for over 6 months since i've always had a passion for the northeren parts of Europe.

Right now i'm back in Belgium working and saving up for another big journey when the time is right.

Generally i'm a calm guy who loves nature and a good beer once in a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I’m travelling around I like to meet new people, enjoy nature and have different kinds of positive experiences, I try to combine couchsurfing, camping, hostels and workaway to achieve this goal. (and to keep it affordable)

I also like to meet locals and try to pick up the language a bit.

Interests

* Travelling and meeting people on the road to share experiences and wisdom with.
* Music, love to go to festivals and concerts
* Skiing (Tried to snowboard but broke my wrist, so i stick to skiing now^^)
* I enjoy a good beer (I'm from Belgium so i'm spoiled)
* I work in the air cargo industry

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock and metal music but i'm open minded for any other kind of music !

Tarantino movies are awesome, i think we can all agree on that !

One of my all time favorites is "The boondock Saints"

I don't realy read that much but i'm always open for suggestion :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taming the highest mountain of the countries i've visited (eg in Slovenië, in Montenegro, Sweden)
It takes an effort but the feeling when you reach the top is amazing, totally worth the effort !

Working as a volunteer in a backpackers hostel for about 3 months, it was so nice to meet so many likeminded people to share stories and ideas with.

Did a part of the kungsleden hiking trail in sweden (about 100km) absolutely amazing experience ! The nature up there in the arctic circle is breathtaking.

Worked at a husky farm in swedish lapland for about a month. Taking care of the dogs, starting to train them and general maintenace of the property.

What I Can Share with Hosts
