About Me

Hi! I'm really bad in trying to make myself sound interesting, but hey, I'll try. As you can see, I'm from the Netherlands - but I don't live in Amsterdam (everyone seems to forget that there is more to Holland than just Amsterdam). I grew up in a very small town in the south which has a much better culture (like, Dutch carnaval, google it). I'm currently in my last year of high school and I'm also working fulltime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here mainly to find a place to stay and meet new people, or to show people around the Netherlands who finally see that there is much more than just weed.

Interests

Sooo, a little more about me.. I always used to say that my main occupation was soccer, because it played a huge role in my life but had to quit because of many, many injuries. The same goes for longboarding/snowboarding, because it just hurts like hell. I still do it sometimes, but not as much as I used to. Oh and I'm Dutch so I ride my bike a lot. I play bass guitar, because I love the sound and a guitar teacher once told me that I suck at playing guitar.. And a bass only has four strings, aye?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies/tv shows. Iiterally watch every genre (except horror) and I love music. I especially love indie-rock, psychedelic rock and post-hardcore.

Music: Alt-J, Two Door Cinema Club, Tame Impala, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Enter Shikari and much more.

Movies/TV shows: Prison Break, The 100, Black Mirror, Submarine, A Walk To Remember.

Books: I don't really read much but House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is great.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll always bring Stroopwafels because those things are heavenly good and everyone should try them.
