About Me

I'm a musician, guitar player from Colombia living in Bogotá learning English and working with the music. I love languages, new people, new food, new sounds, art, music and traveling, and I have a special love for the trees

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've got tired of thinking that i need a lot of money to travel, One day I said "ok I'm a musician and I can get to know the world just with the basic stuff , I just need my guitar and my self conviction"... A very close person recommended me this page and I thougth that is a good chance to start my life outside my country.

Interests

The nature, is incredible how the nature is different in other places, I love playing music, and to share with others musicians, everybody can teach me a new tip to improve my musical skills. I have a big interest for the art, no one in special, just art, such as the music, the literature, the plastic arts, teather etc.
I want to know how the people are in other countries, how their lives are and how is the culture and the life in other places. And I have a special interest for the spiritual life, meditation, Zen, no religion, just spirituality

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the jazz, no much the fusion but the jazz is the most important in music to me. Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Coltrane, Brian Blade, Scofield, Rosenwinkel, Brad Melhdau; the modern jazz... But also the academic music, like baroque, Classical, Romantic, Electronic... I don't like much the maisntream music.
Books: The power of now, Conversations with god, 1984, Illusions, The art of loving.
Movies: Growndhog day, Enter the Void, La planète sauvage, Persepolis, Irreversible...

Teach, Learn, Share

At the moment you meet and spend a little while with someone
is inevitable to learn and to teach live experiences, professional and personal qualities. thats what i can teach, learn and share with others.

Quote: "When you talk you are only repeating what you already know. But if you listen, you may learn something new" Dalai Lama

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with the people I will meet my way of seeing the world as a musician who comes from a country like Colombia. I'm sure I dont see the world with the same filter and i know that getting to share this vision of mine with others (not just int he musical field but the spiritual and the life as a human being) is the best way to enrich each other's worlds.
