About Me
Hi!
I'm Thanh, a Vietnamese girl who is studying in Melbourne.
I love travelling around the world, experiencing different cultures, cuisines and talking to the locals. And studying abroad so far is my greatest excuse to get opportunities to travel to many different countries ;) I studied in Oxford in 2014 before moving to Melbourne a year later. At the moment I'm on an exchange study program in Aarhus, Denmark until January 2018.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
1) I love my city, Ho Chi Minh, a lot. There are many things about this city that make me proud of being someone who grows up here, such as its history, cuisine, and people. But just like other Southeast Asian cities, Ho Chi Minh might not be the easiest and safest place for solo travellers who are first time being here. So not only do I want to show people from around the world my city, I hope that I could make their trips in Ho Chi Minh more fun, exciting and safe.
2) If you are a frequent solo traveller, you may know that there are times you can't help but feel lonely during your trip. And although I enjoy travelling by myself a lot I can't express in words how much I hate eating out alone. So whenever I travel to a new country I always try to meet new local friends who can show me around, tell me things they know about their city and especially introduce me to their local food so that we can have some fun talks over lunch or dinner.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge fan of Richard Linklater!
I always need someone to stop me from talking too much about how much I love his films.
Teach, Learn, Share
What can I share with you guys?
1. The history of Ho Chi Minh city (that I've learnt)
2. The culture and traditions here
3. Cuisine (It is the MUST!) and the charming facts about Vietnamese people's personality that are hidden behind our cooking philosophy.
4. How we have fun here! (I'm afraid that bars and clubs don't always make the top of this list)
And of course I'd love to hear your stories about your country and city as well! :)
