Hello, I am Özgül. I was born in Zonguldak. After university, I started to live in İstanbul. I work in Kadıköy Anatolian High School as a physics teacher. At the same time I am a doctorate student in Philosophy Departmans of Kocaeli Universty. I like my job, especially my students. I'm also a member of Teachers Union( EGITIM-SEN). I spend considerable time outside the school involving in the community for women rights. (Socialist Feminist Collective SFK )
I have five sisters, four of them also live in İstanbul.
I like visiting different countries, meeting different culturies.
I'm interested in philosophy, feminism, marxism and quantum physics.
I like reading detective story,
I want to say last thing; I had a cat, its name was Voss. Unfortunatelly It is lost and I miss Voss very much.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

My dream is meeting all kind of cultures in earth. I also want to learn daily life in different countries. I don't want to be typical tourist, I want to live like local people during my journey. At the same time I want to learn different languages.
I prefer to stay in cozy home atmosphere rather then cold hotel room.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Last year I selected to participate in the High School Teacher Programme (HST2014), which took place at CERN, Geneva.
It was wonderfull, we saw Higgs Boson :)
One more thing; I swam at -15 Celcius in Verçenik Lake, Kaçkar Mountain. I almost frozen but it was wonderfull.
