Overview
About Me
Hello!! I’m Aurélien, soon 26 yo living in Brussels for now. Very fresh on CS, I have a biology study background but I'm very passionate about lot of things including some main topics:
-food, more about creating than consuming haha, I've been working in several restaurants and explored a lot of things in this field. I like to do things by myself (vinegars, alcool, jars, tofu, kefir, bread, tempeh…. Mostly biologic processes ;) ).
-arts and craft, among many others I’m currently exploring cyanotypes and closed terrariums (but I’m also pretty enthusiast about blacksmithing, sewing, woodwork..)
-nature, I’m sensible to it’s beauty and lessons whether in my garden or in a forest.
-people, always curious to meet new souls with different ways of thinking and visions of the world to learn from them
-autonomy, I like to learn and do stuff by myself
-sensuality and sexuality, currently discovering and exploring kinky universe
I’m really curious of people, experiences, life in general and I’m looking to learn new things at almost every moment but I also love to transmit my knowledge to fellow curious people ;)
I’m currently working in a nature education association, mostly doing workshops in children classes but also building an educational farm near Charleroi in Belgium and lot more things!
Could write more but I’ll keep a part of mystery+ I’m not huge fan of writing about myself, maybe you’ll discover more later irl ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm mostly here to have opportunity to meet locals during my travels. I really like to experience a new place by it’s inhabitants! I’m always curious to discover new people, ways of thinking, secret tips about places I'm visiting, local recepies.. Create bonds, teach, learn, do things together, just exchange, lots of reason to explain my presence here!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Mmmmh there are couple noticeable ones:
-my encounter with wild wolves when I was sleeping alone in a forest at 16 yo
-my participation to the Norwegian quidditch championship
-when I became a authentic viking for some months (I can teach you spear-shield fighting btw)
-when I kept goats and sheeps in the french Alps
-when I became a hangdrum maker was also a cool adventure
+Some more that I don't have in mind now and intimate ones that I like to share but not to anybody ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm open to learn about anything if it is taught with passion :)
But I have many subjects/knowledge to share:
-good cuisine ;)
-I can teach you how to sharpen your kitchen knives with a bowl or a teacup
-cyanotypes
-any knowledge from my master studies (general biology, animal behavior, how ecosystems works), I have a lot of biology fun facts ;) !
-indoor tropical plants (worked in several indoor plant shops) but also outdoor plant of course, I have a vegetable garden
-growing mushrooms
-I've been a druid for some years to develop more sensitive approach to nature, I can teach some things about it.
-All kind of DiY stuff (sewing, woodworking, soap making,..)
-...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm open minded and easily socially comfortable so it could be anything, just a couch, a meal, a food recipe, a late night deep conversation around a glass of wine, a netflix and chill moment, a party, a yoga session, a visit of the city, books and podcast recommendation, a lesson, cuddles, something more intimate. I could give my help if needed also!
It really depends on my current vibes and how I feel with my host :)
Countries I’ve Lived In
Belgium, France, Norway
