Overview
About Me
I am a grad student at UT-Austin. Before, I lived years in Providence while I was studying at Brown about museum studies, social engagement, and informal education.
I live with my husband Juan Sebastian, who is a photojournalist. We are from Santiago de Chile, where we used to work at a Community College as photography instructors and lecturers. After living in the US, we have decided to know more places in this country. We want to know more people from here, and learn from their experiences, how is living here, which are the challenges, and which things get them excited, so we can share our stories and experiences with them too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We have very little time left in this country, and we would like to be able to visit as many cities as possible!
Interests
I'm very passionate about art and history. That's why I enjoy visiting any kind of museums.
As a good nerd, I also enjoy watching movies, reading non-fiction, drawing, painting in watercolor, and taking pictures.
Because my partner is a photojournalist, I really love photography and post-processing images. I can be hours in front of the photoshop creating and retouching.
Last but not least, I love anime, star wars and Lord of the rings, but I also enjoy talking about pretty much everything and learning from other's experience.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am very open to listening to a variety of music. I really enjoy listening Franz Ferdinand, Morrisey, The Cure, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Beatles, The Postal Service, The Offspring, Datarock, Incubus, Blur, Daft Punk, The Ting Tings... and other groups and singers less popular as Rhapsody, Megumi Hayashibara, Maaya Sakamoto, The Pillows, Nujabes, Yoko Kanno, Yngwie Malmsteen, among others.
About movies, I just watched the Revenant and I'm still thinking about the photography used in each scene! I just really love it!
I have also a big range of variety of movies: from Star Wars to Forrest Gump, Disney old movies, Pixar movies, Battle Royale, Babel, Inception, ID4, all 3 new Batman movies, Pi, The Godfather 1 y 2, and pretty much any Tarantino movie!
And books.... I really just read non-fiction. Specifically, history, cultural anthropology, museum studies and art theory.... I'm pretty boring in this area, sorry!
