About Me

Hey everyone, I'm Marinella (from Colombia), currently living in Medellin, second largest city in the country. Very enthusiatic about traveling and immersing in different cultures. I work for different companies as freelancer and have my own travel agency, in which we take travelers to local towns in Colombia to travel differently, always in deep contact with the local cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm in Couchsurfing because there's not a thing I enjoy more than exchanging my culture with others, sharing thoughts and perspectives. A good conversation with a wine or coffee with other people is always the best idea for me. Also it's very interesting to me to get to know the places through the eyes of locals, that's always the best way to travel!

Interests

Hey everyone, this is a list of my main interests: first of all, traveling, connecting with nature, reading and writing stories, social work and volunteering is one of my passions, trying all kind of food and cuisines is my weakness; I'm also very passionate about fashion and clothing, so I have hundreds of boards in Pinterest that I can's stand it haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: salsa, reggaeton, latin jazz, champeta and all the latin sounds.
Movie: Eat, pray, love; the notebook.
Favorite books: many, but one of them, travesuras de la niña mala from Mario Vargas Llosa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in the Zero Hunger World Summit in Cuenca (Ecuador), so I had to be in a couple of events held by FAO in Roma. That was an amazing experience.

Also quitting my job to run my own company has been an incredible step in my lifetime.
