About Me

Back to France and my city of birth after more than 15 years abroad, travelling and working, partly to be closer to family, especially my parents.

I miss speaking English and being around non-French people 😊

I love being in nature, bicycling, walking around randomly and getting lost, sitting at the beach for hours and watching the sea. And, of course, eating and trying new food.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To help people visiting having a place to stay, and meet new people 😊
and if I can make your experience in beautiful La Rochelle any better by sharing tips ect... That would make me very happy!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a small extra room. Depending of my availability, I can show you around. In any event, I will be very happy to share anything I know about the area and the region and learn about your travels! And I'd love to bring u/show you to my favorite places to eat and drink or bike trips 😊

• My view of couchsurfing : to me, hosting people is a way to help people spend less money while travelling, and meet nice people; I feel it is like my small fight against the individualistic and capitalistic world we live in, where everything is monetized 😊
My place is not a hotel nor a free Airbnb. It is important for me that people are respectful of the place, especially regarding cleanliness, of me and my space.
I am always happy to give tips about where to eat, what to do, etc.. Sometimes I have the energy to do things together, sometimes not; sometimes I am super busy… Do not take it personnally 😊

• Some practical infos :
o You can arrive at any time of the day and/or leave your stuff here
o I am not far from Place de Verdun (where all buses leave from) and the central market. You can do everything walking, and if not, you can rent a bicycle in the city center or take a bus.
o I have two kitties, so be aware if you are allergic. It is great if you love cats and want to cuddle them. You also need to be careful since these queens are not allowed to go out when it is dark outside.
o I have a one person bed, it is a convertible but it is comfortable. It is in a small room so you can have your own space and leave your stuff there.
o You can use my wifi network, the shower/toilets, and if you need, use the kitchen to prepare meals/cook, and put your stuff in the fridge.
o I would prefer if you bring your own bedsheets (trying to reduce my laundry loads), but if you don’t have them, I have some.
o Please bring your towel(s)
o Please leave the room as clean and tidy as you found it
o I have a small garden, you can use it to eat etc… 😊
