About Me

Well I'm not quite sure what to say here. I'm a pretty normal, medicore girl as far as this can be. Because I mean everyone is totally different!

So Let's start with some facts: I'm 26 and I'm studied Chemistry after traveling the world. Now after 5 years I am done (just turned in my masterthesis last month, yay!!!) and the travel fever is back. Right now I am doing an Interrailtrip through west europe, while applying for phd position.
During Highschool I stayed as an exchange student for a year in Minnesota, USA. It was awesome and definitely one of the best decisions in my life and what started my love for traveling and staying with local people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To be honest it sounds like an awesome Idea, to help people to connect with each other. I skimmed over some post about trying couchsurfing on facebook, but never really thought about it until I read a book in which the main theme was couchsurfing.
I learned through my exchange year that it is a wonderful experience to invite someone to your home and hear about the places they went to, meet new people, help others to see the area etc.
AND I TOTALLY WANNA DO THAT!!!!

Another reason is that I did a big travel after finishing school and it was awesome to do this by staying with local people (You get to know so much good food!!)

I haven't done any couchsurfing in a long time, especially due to the situation in recent years and my place sadly not being big enough to host people (student dorms can be sooo tiny...). I would really love to start doing it more often now.

Interests

I love stories in any kind of form. It doesn't matter if they are told, written, as pictures/comics/manga/manhwa.. or as movies/cartoons/animes/TVseries. Though I prefer books above the other ones ^_^ If you have a story to share, I would love to listen to it!!!
Science is pretty interesting, too. It kinda tells us the story of the materials around us and I just love to mix up stuff and look what happens. Btw I am quite a decent cook. My cooking skills definitly improved with my chemistry studies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to any music you throw at me ^_^( Ok Rammstein "Du hast" is a little bit on the ahh it's fine , but it would be totally ok to listen to something else, side). I'm pretty much content with every direction.
If I'm alone I listen to Bands like Saltatio Mortis or Simon and Garfunkel. Or Anime Openings. I like that Music.

The list of my favourite Movies and Books would be waaaaaaaaay to long, so I'll just say that I do NOT like horrormovies and about books I like every genre. In the moment especially fantasy and travel. NOT Lord of the Rings!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walked by foot through the Mississippi in the winter ( though it was the headwaters of the later on gigantic river ^_^)
and in connection with this, staying in contact with my amazing hostfamily who let me stay with them for a year in the USA.

Staying in Myanmar in a Monastary on Top of a Mountain and watching an amazing sunset and rise.

Also seeing the total solar eclipse in 2017 in Wyoming. It was just WOOOOOOOW!!!!

Doing the Annapurna circuit in Nepal and hiking up to 5416m.

Teach, Learn, Share

ok I could say I can teach you some German dishes, though I prefer to cook asian ones. You can share everything you ever experienced, so if I know something about something and you know something let's try and teach, learn and share to make a bigger something.
Does this sentence even make sense?

What I Can Share with Hosts

I've got a bunch of candy in my backpack :P. I am also always up to explore the surroundings!
