Hello :) My name is Benedikt, im 21 years old, and from a small city in Bavaria, Germay called Erlangen.
I'm currently studying Social Economics in Nuremburg and I'm looking forward to explore the world in my freetime :)

I would describe myself as very open and talkative.

I used to grow up with three older siblings, two brothers (30 & 27) and one sister (25), we also have a very cute (but sometimes also very silly) dog.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I always wanted to get to know as much of the world as i can. Meeting people from all around the world and travelling as much as i can in my freetime is the best to do so and something i enjoy a lot. Therefore Couchsurfing is the best opportunity, being able to host people and giving them the opportunity to get to know your culture/country, while sharing experiences and the possibility to experience the world and find friends all over it.

兴趣

I'm voluntary working with kids (~10 years old) as a soccer coach. Seeing them enjoy what they are doing, but also to be able to teach them a lot of things on and next to the pitch is a great experience. Additionally I'm playing soccer on my own team.
In general you could say, that I am very interested in all kind of sports, loving the competition and especially seeing underdogs pull an upset.
I often meet with friends, depending on our mood we either go out partying or simply hang out at someones place and talk with each other.
I regularly visit music festivals, just the camping atmosphere, the music and all the people you meet there makes it a great experience.
Also I love to play computer games, especially strategy games.
I am following politics a lot, so I'm always open for having a discussion there.
History is something my father introduced me to quite heavily, nowadays I'm not visiting museums or historic places that often anymore, but it is still something i am fairly interested in, reading articles/books or talking about it with other people.

My music taste varies quite heavily. From 90's, alternative, indie, rock, hip-hop to electro. To choose some favorite artists is quite hard but i would always name something like Blink182, Linkin Park or (german locals) Kraftklub.

Same with movies. I actually enjoy every genre despite horror, all depending on mood. Examples for my favorite movies would be The Fault In Our Stars, Schindler's List, Oceans11, Die Brücke etc.. the list would be very very long.

My favorite books probably are the Watch-books from Sergej Lukjanenko.
But i love to read philosophic books as well, something in the likes of 1984 or Kafka.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Back in school my best friend and I were taking part in an exchange course with a polish school. After our exchange partners were here in Germany we decided to visit them by ourself during summer holidays. We were fairly young back then and the whole trip was such an experience. Because so many great things and conversations happened there, I couldn't even name a single event that made it special - it really was the entirety of the trip.

Probably conversations is a big part of what I can offer. Sharing experiences, opinions, views of the world and life - I think this is a big part of what couchsurfing is about. I'm friendly and I'll always try to not be a hassle.
I'm open for everything housekeeping involves and what I'm capable of doing. so if there is anything I can help with, I will gladly do so.
