I hail from Istanbul, and I am (was?) a student in Wellesley College. I was planning on having a "normal" senior year and write a thesis, even. But then in September I decided that I needed to seize the moment and study abroad. Thus currently I am an exchange student at the University of Manchester.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Until now I have almost always stayed in hotels when I was traveling. As much as I love traveling I feel that I am missing out on a great experience because it is so hard to meet the locals when I stay in hotels. So I want to meet cool new people and pick their brains about what to do in town. Also for me this semester is about trying new things and couchsurfing is one of them!

Interests

I am quite passionate about my field, Economics and I would like to do something with it in grad school too. Less academically I like cooking--though I am not good at it at all, traveling and watching football.
