About Me

Hi! My name is Lígia, I'm a 20 years old brazilian. I'm doing my major in history in São Paulo, but I am currently studying in Madrid for 6 months! I'm easygoing, enjoy meeting new people and being able to talk about anything with them. It would be nice to make some friends on my journey, getting to know different cultures and ways of living. I'm really interested and open minded.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a student excited to see the world and to get to know different people, so couchsurfing fits me really well. I can't afford expansive places during my trips and usually people in hostels are more fluid, always on the move. Couchsurfing would provide nice company, and a different way of experiencing the places I'm at, being able to see life there on a regular basis, not as much as a tourist.

Interests

I love history and psychology, especially when combined. I like talking and staying in with some friends as much as I like to go out and party sometimes. I like making people laugh and being able to laugh with them. I play in a Escola de Samba in Brazil, therefore I really love carnaval and the culture it carries along, as much as I enjoy playing the instruments.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really love popular brazilian music, pop, indie, samba, reggae and latin music. I like latinamerican literature and some child classics, like Harry Potter, but who doesn't?
Simone du Bovoir, dostoyevski, nietzsche, paulo freire, bukowsky....filosofy in general!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach and share many things about brazilian culture, as much as food, drinks, music and ways. As much as I'm willing to learn all about other cultures, and othe people, since that's what making friends is about, getting to know people!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My life stories, some food and laughter! I'm a good listener, something I feel people are forgetting to do now a days!
