Hong Kong has been my home for the last 17+ years! I've hosted many friends and family during that time. I am fun-loving, adventurous, friendly, flexible, and respectful. I enjoy new experiences, other cultures and ideas, and meeting people. In Hong Kong, I am an Assistant Organizer/Leader in the Hong Kong Hiking Meetup with more than 325 hikes in the last couple of years. If you want to enjoy some of the main great hiking routes in HK, I can give some great recommendations, or you may be able to join one of my Meetup hikes.

Enjoy meeting people and making new friends. To me, relationships/friendships are the best part of life! And I have a lovely home in the countryside with a great guest room separate from the main house.

Many! Sports such as golf, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, soccer, football, just about anything with a ball. I am also an avid hiker, bushwhacker and stream trekker (mostly in Hong Kong). I love music. Play guitar and am teaching myself to play piano. I am also an amateur radio operator, shortwave listener, and broadcast engineer. I'm also a PADI certified advanced level scuba diver.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

A clean, quiet, room and unique countryside experience in HK. And if I am free, I may be able to take some time to show you around Hong Kong. At a minimum, I can give you lots of good advice about where to go and what to see and how to get there. In addition, I've got lots of stories from my many years of traveling, places I've lived, people I've met, things I've seen and done, things I believe.

PLEASE NOTE: I may ask to see and make a copy of your passport or other ID. Every hotel/motel in the world requires this for obvious reasons and makes sense for me to do so too. Here is the CS suggestion in this regard:

Registering a Guest - Asking for Identification

On another note, some hosts may ask to see a photocopy of their guest's identification (ID card or passport) upon arrival. Some even set it as a requirement in order to host. This is not a requirement for hosting set by Couchsurfing, but it's also not against any rule for hosts to make that request. After all, they open their home to somebody they haven't met before, and this can be seen as an act of mutual trust between the two people.

So, it's up to you if you ask to see some form of ID and also up to the guest to accept to show it, or move on to another host.
