About Me

Hello !
I'm a cheerful and smiley easygoing person.
I'm a former barista who used to work in Luxembourg .

But in May 2016 I quit my job and went on an adventure.

Travelling always appealed me and I must say, leaving was one of the best decision I made in my life. It feels so good to see with my children eyes again, discovering something new everyday..!.

-------

About to move in Wellington, New Zealand !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great way to travel because you actually take part of somebody's lifestyle for a little while. It's a total immersion.
It's awesome to be able to share a piece of life with new people , to discover a new place trough an inhabitant eyes.

Interests

- I love traveling ( of course !) : discovering new places, with their people, history, culture, way of living.
But I think the thing I like most during travelling is to see what nature has to show. I love being in nature and discovering breathtaking landscapes, meeting animals in their wildlife, etc.

- I love coffee. I was professionally making coffee as a barista, in speciality coffee coffeeshops for 8 years. Mainly in Luxembourg and also in London for a while. I also participated a lot in coffee competitions. It's great because beside improving barista skills, we get to meet a bunch of coffee lovers from all over the world.

- I'm really into Bikram ( hot) Yoga. It has become a part of my lifestyle and I can't imagine not practicing it anymore. In the future, one of my goal is to be certificated so I can teach.

- For many years, I have been doing role playing games. It really allows to escape from reality for a while. We can be somebody else, from another world, with new amazing skills, all of it without stepping out of the sofa ! Except for live role playing games , that time of the year when I dress up as my character and go acting like her in a field, sleeping under a medieval tent, fighting with fake swords , for few days..

- I enjoy to cook, especially since I went vegan. My favourite things to cook are cakes and treats, and I'm really into Italian food.

- I love to do all kind of manual things such as drawing, sewing, painting...

- And even if I had a very busy working life those past years and not so much time to practice, I really enjoy singing and playing the guitar.
But I bought a guitar during my trip, I currently try to catch up with it !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked on 'Le dôme des écrins' and ( not to the top because of bad weather )the Mont Blanc in France.
Felt like being at the top of the World. Surrounded by all shades of white, just like if was the last person left on the planet.
I sailed from Rio de Janeiro to Ushuaia! One of the best experience ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach : How to make good coffee, some French, some yoga, how to bake delicious cookies!

Learn : I would love to learn about other people life experience, while traveling, of course, but also share tips about life in general and learning from them as they can learn from me. Everyone has something to share, even if it's just a smile and a good laugh !

I recently bought a guitar and I try to catch up with it ! Help !
