Overview
About Me
We're a young couple in our early twenties. My name is Emilie and my boyfriend is Vedran. We're both full time university students studying to teach English as a second language. We have a cat named Alice who never stops meowing but we love her regardless. We love cooking, working on DIY projects, craft beer, art, and other hipstery things. We enjoy meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We're planning our first trip to the United Kingdom this summer and Couchsurfing seems like a great way to start! We want to make this trip as genuine as possible and avoid tourist traps and hotels, so local insight from people on Couchsurfing seems like the best way to go about it! In exchange we have our own share of culture and stories to tell for those who are interested in knowing about it.
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
Emilie: I love any book that's about travel and romantic comedies, I also love coming-of-age stories and light-hearted reading in general. I love folk musicians like Vance Joy, City and Color, Andrew Bird, Ben Howard, etc. I also love watching TV series like The Walking Dead, The 100, and I usually binge-watch them whenever I can.
Vedran: I love reading all kinds of stuff, mostly graphic novels like The Walking Dead, but also science-fiction and horror books from authors such as Stephen King, Michael Crichton, Dean Koontz, etc. When it comes to music I can listen to and enjoy almost anything from Hip-Hop to Death Metal. I also love science-fiction, horror and drama films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One time we made our own sausages, which was pretty amazing if you ask me!
In general we're happy with the little things in life and find the "amazingness" in everything. We're open-minded and simple people.
Teach, Learn, Share
Having different backgrounds (Vedran is originally from Bosnia-Herzegovina and I'm from Quebec) we have a lot knowledge about these places and their associated cultures in general.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We want to bring them a bit of our culture and share some of our culinary skills, we're funny people with a lot of stories to tell and things to share.
