Hi! Senang bertemu denganmu, regards from Indonesia!

I proudly introduce my self as originally Indonesian, i was born and grown up in Jakarta - the capital city of Indonesia, and now i currently live in Yogyakarta, a cultural and "student" city in Indonesia. I love them both. Jakarta is the hippest place in the country where everything is completely provided. But i feel i get enough of it, so i moved to Yogya. Then i found Yogya is a right place to explore my passion - about art, tourism, culture; anything - until i realized that it becomes my comfort zone as well.

So i want to travel more places. Yogya opens my eyes that i have to discover another part of the world so that i can have wider outlook about life. To break my boundaries. To do something new.To meet new people. And it might be you! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to make friends from another part of the world! As now i just went back from abroad for an occassion, i've been meeting new people and i feel like its great to make friends with them. Especially to find friends who have common interests with me! To visit museums and art galleries, cultural festivals, mountains or beaches. To shop in a traditional market in the morning and writing my journal in a coffee shop in the evening. Yes, i want to live like locals ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music; i'm a Jazz freak! I listen to any Jazz instruments, musicians, and catch any kinds of Jazz concert or jam session as much as i can. I listen to India Arie, Jamiroquai, Dave Koz, Barry Likumahuwa Project, and all of the local or street musicians who play Jazz...
I also listen to RnB/Soul (I feel like i'm falling in love when listen to Robin Thicke!) and Electronic Dance (those kind of Breakbot or Disclosure). And any songs you found on Majestic Casual channel in YouTube.

Movies; I'm not a movie junkie but my most favorite one is chick-flick haha! Devil Wears Prada, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sex and The City, Pretty Woman, you named it... I also enjoy musical, comedy, fantasy, and sci-fi movies.

Books; I'm into many kinds of lits THAT much since i was kid. I read mythologhy such as The Alchemyst series by Michael Scott. Chick-lits such as The Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella. Supranatural such as Like The Flowing River series by Paulo Coelho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being a project leader of a creative industry festival in my college! And hiking Andong Hill in Central Java, Indonesia (it's not the highest one but i'm still proud haha!)

Teach, Learn, Share

I (confidently) good at dance so you can learn dance with me, especially Indonesian Dance ;) try to search "tari saman" or "tari golek jogja" and you'll find it very interesting! I also like to cook (Indonesian foods and western as well) and try to new recipes so we cook together!

Sharing about our culture and study are obviously a must :)
