***UNABLE TO ACCEPT GUESTS AFTER MARCH 1st***
**READ FIRST PLEASE**
Not a prime location for the tourist experience! But welcoming space to crash, eat, chill in a real working class area of Glasgow. Hitch-hikers, rebels and pirates especially welcome! Welcome open to all from all backgrounds. .this is a safe space, no right wing idiots, no racists, islamaphobes, queer haters welcome. Welcoming space for queer, trans non-binary fellow travellers.
Always find this weird! Here goes.. 39 yrs old (not 30) from Glasgow, Scotland. Have an amazing 3 yrs old daughter...Care about social and global justice and trying not to passively accept the many, many things that are wrong with my society and our world. Like travelling but don't get to as much as I'd like.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Every time I've been in other places, often hitch-hiking I've received wonderful hospitality and help from others and this is why I support the ethos of couch-surfing, always happy to give a bed and hospitality to people travelling through my city.
Interests
Like music, dancing, books and very rarely TV, love and slowly learning to work with and make things from wood, particularly using traditional methods. As mentioned above my main interests revolve around issues of social and global justice.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music taste is too eclectic for lists but Radiohead, Manu Chao, MIA & Christy Moore may hopefully demonstrate that! Likewise with books so just mention two recent books I've read that stayed with me: Manual Rivas's "Books Burn Badly", Soha Bechara's "Resistance" & Audrey Lorde's "I Am Your Sister". Movies: Pan's Labyrinth & Restless Natives are among my favourites.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Survived.
Teach, Learn, Share
Love to hear and learn from people's stories and experiences and things about where they come from in their words.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Being born and brought up in Glasgow and someone who's studied Scottish history, particularly social and radical history, for those who're interested I can give a fairly good overview of Glasgow's history. At this moment the amount of time I'd be able to spend with people is probably quite limited !!
Countries I’ve Visited
