Overview
About Me
I'm a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in TESOL at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy traveling and meeting new people, but I don't have deep enough pockets yet to travel the way that I'd like to. Couchsurfing provides the perfect means by which I can see the sights and meet awesome people without breaking the bank!
Interests
I'm into athletics (especially volleyball) and I love to be outdoors with my family or with the local Boy Scout Troop that I volunteer for. I enjoy healthy amounts of hammock time. I also enjoy boogie-boarding at the beach.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a lot of oldies (Beach Boys, The Beetles, etc.) and I've also recently become enamored of Mumford & Sons, Imagine Dragons and Pentatonix. I love every move that Christopher Nolan has ever made, most of all Inception. I enjoy reading historical non-fiction, but I do love survivalist/post-apocalyptic fiction (anywhere from Hatchet to World War Z).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've climbed Half Dome in Yosemite National Park three times. Ah, the glory days before you had to get a permit!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My undergraduate degree was in history education, so I love a good conversation about history! I can make some tasty breakfast food. I grew up in a family of 8 children, so I could offer you insight into what it's like to be on set of the movie Cheaper by the Dozen!
