About Me

Hi guys! I'm Jan and I love traveling more than everything! After I finished my A-level, I started to travel around the world and met some different people who let me be a part of their culture and their life! One of the most beautiful things while traveling is to have a smart chat with new people. Me and my bag just need a small and simple couch and a nice conversation to be happy.
I'm really open-minded about new food, music, sports and discussions about any topic, so we definitely could spend a couple of days together.
The best impression of a new culture I got in Tanzania in 2015 where I was about 6 weeks helping a friend who worked there as a volunteer. We worked with disabled children in a kindergarten and in a carpenter's shop for people who have a little handicap! But let me tell you some more stories with a glas of beer or wine on a nice evening!
In 2016 I travelled around Portugal for two weeks, rented a car and met some great guys. From May to August I travelled around Southeast Asia for 3 months. I had such a great time in Thailand, Lao, Vietnam and Cambodia, unbelievable. CS was definitely one reason for that. The locals in Vietnam and Cambodia were super friendly and always interested about the young german man. So it was easy to find some hosts where I had a great time.
Currently I live and study economics in Nuremberg but as soon as possible I'll travel again!
So far so good, would be a pleasure to meet you guys.
Cheers!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

CS is the best opportunity to travel around the world, meet some new people and stay low-budget! But please, don't misunderstand me. A host in not just a cheeper way to stay. The important thing on CS is the great experience with other CSers!
Another great thing is that you can find a friend all over there world and have mostly the opportunity to come back. As a result you have different places where you can stay everywhere and it becomes easier to travel around. Furthermore a local guy always shows you the "real" places around his area and so you get a real impression about the city. I would definitely show you another Nuremberg than the LonleyPlanet. So come around if you want to see some new things!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That's hard to say because my journeys weren't amazing because of Angkor Wat, Tour d'Eifel and the Colosseum of Rom. For me it always depends on the people I meet.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Just a lovely, tiny flat in Nuremberg, the feeling of a home and a real impression about the city!
