Overview
About Me
I am a happy go lucky boy from a small previous mining town in the South Wales valleys. Growing up I was always interested in traveling and I guess it is only now I am getting the courage to get up and be active and pursue my goal. I suppose I would describe myself as a planet loving liberal (although if anyone described themselves as that to me I might have second thoughts on letting them into my home, haha). I am a very tidy and clean person, I also don't mind where I sleep as I sleep like a rock! I also do not snore which is always a bonus! As a vegetarian and being born to a Colombian mother my culinary skills are a bit on the spicy side!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
With my goal to travel I came up with a list of things that will stop me from doing so, and as a student coming from a small town in the mountains the obvious issue was money. However more importantly than the monetary side I didn't want to explore on my own, and meeting locals who could guide me with places to see or things to do was a main priority. The main reason why I'm on couchsurfing is to find like-minded people with lots of energy to share an adventure with.
Interests
I always love exploring, be that in a large city or a smaller and more rural town, I love to be active.
Another interest of mine is rollerblading (in a skate-park), I am unsure yet if I will be bringing my blades on my travels but would love to meet up with any skaters!
However my main hobby and sport is boxing, I have boxed since I was 15 and have won an amateur national championship, would also love to spend some time with any boxers or people who do martial arts, I'm always ready to learn.
I am also interested in painting (I am pretty awful at it but I just enjoy passing the time with a pen or brush in my hand)
My biggest interest is just listening to people and just being active and doing new things

Music, Movies, and Books
Hmm I hate these questions:
Jazz, reggae, classical, DnB, folk music, hip-hop, German hip-hop (a friend recently introduced me to a whole other world of European rap which is a lot better than their pop music!), basically what I'm trying to say is I love any genre and I think every song is good for at least one occasion
I'm not a huge movie fan, but I love Star Wars and I believe Reservoir Dogs is the single greatest film.
Most of my time reading books are purely economics degree based, however, I do love Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, Virgil's Aeneid wasn't so great. My favorite book however is Oscar Wilde's A Picture Of Dorian Gray
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My aunt and I traveled to New York and then we did a 2 week tour of California in a hired car, as much as I believe the American Dream is a lie, it was probably the best experience of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach Welsh (native language of Wales, a small country in the UK), I doubt it will ever be useful to anyone, but it's an amazing sounding language and our songs are some of the best in the world!
I would love to learn to play the harmonica, if anyone can help with that, that'd be great!
If we become friends I would love to show you Wales when I have a place to call my own that's not a university room!!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I know I'm not a fountain of knowledge or wisdom, but I have some funny stories and I love talking. I am also always happy to help with cleaning and household chores, I am a strong believer that manners and etiquette mean everything, especially when someone is opening their doors to you. I was also a dog groomer for 2 years, which taught me to become a dog whisperer!
I consider myself to be fun around (I'm not sure if that's weird to say, but I always enjoy being around people) and am always up for adventure.
I also love food and cooking and would love to learn recipes and local dishes and would love to be able to show you some traditional Welsh and Colombian dishes that my mother has taught me, I may even reveal some of my secret ingredients but I make no promises.
