About Me
I would like you to read through my profile to the end, available schedule, transportation, etc. That would help you understand us well and find out if my family suits you or not :) And I will not be able to accept friends requests if we haven't met each other before. Thank you!
************************************************************************
MY FAMILY WOULD NOT BE YOUR CHOICE IF YOU DON'T LIKE CHILDREN.
************************************************************************
We are a family of four: my husband, two daughters and me. We often go on a picnic bringing our lunch at a park or in the mountains on weekends. Also, we have practiced Karate for two years , that made us so busy but feel energetic with the talented members.
I've been teaching English/Math for 11 years and love learning new things. I like cooking, watching TED talk, walking outside, growing vegetables with my daughters and reading books...Our life is simple but filled with joy!
My husband is an electrical engineer who works at a machinery company. He loves cars, listening to music, eating and taking us somewhere fun! He's quiet and family-centered person.
My kids are 7 and 5 yro, they are so friendly and like drawing pictures and story time.
I truly believe that I can learn a lot from others such as their life styles, beliefs, background... Sharing our cultures and differences has changed my sense of value and let me explore something new!
For me, everybody is my teacher :)
Currently, I'm free on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and most national holiday.
Because of my work schedule, WE COULD BE YOUR HOST FOR UP TO TWO NIGHTS.
Let me share some of my big curiosities and dreams with you.
1. Live in foreign countries
I've never lived in foreign countries, so if I (we) have a chance, I really want to experience living in other countries and learn their cultures. I believe that these experiences lead us out of our comfort zone and let us challenge, fullfill our life. And find something we can do for people.
I'm not sure when the time comes, but I need imagery rehearsal, haha! Please help me :)
2. Make friends around the world
Even though it is just a coincidence, I believe there is a reason to meet new friends because we can share something important each other. I'd love to meet people from different countries as your new friend, mom, or couchsurfing host/surfer. Before I die, I want to travel around the world to see my friends and their families who have come to my house as couchsurfers! I already miss them so much.
3. Learn/Study a lot more about education in foreign countries
It is said that people in Japan haven't had enough time and chance to build up their own thinking logically and clrearly, express or share it in front of people. Education system has been changing gradually, but I think that's not enough. Not only children but also adults( including me :P) have difficulties to express their opinions. So I'd like to know how people in other countries train and aquire those skills at school or home. As you know, new generation will have more and more chance to do business with people from different parts of the world.
The most important thing is, just to enjoy every single moment, laugh a lot, respect each other and have big dreams! We are very happy to have guests around the world here, talk, share and explore! l'll try to make your stay fun and exciting!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love exchanging different cultures and meeting new people, especially from people overseas. If I have a chance, I'd like to go abroad to see new world and try new things such as activity, food, volunteer work, hiking, visiting interesting place, bookstore... but my kids are still so young. In addition, this area has few chance to get to know others from overseas. So I'd like to have guests from around the world.
If you are a mom surfer with kids, we greatly welcome you here as well! It's going to be a fun playdate!
I'd like you to see the natural beauty of this town. I'll try to make your stay comfortable and fun!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As I wrote above, I'm a big fun of Candy Chang who created "Before I die wall "project and also a TED speaker in 2012. Everyone can write down their own dreams and hopes on the chalkboard in the community or group and share them with others. It is a great way to think of how to fullfill our lives. Then I decided to make the wall(chalkboard) by my self. My uncle helped me a lot to complete it! We used an old neglected door, painted it and added sentences with stencils. We spent a lot of time but I never got tired of it! It was so much fun:) I brought it to the local event with my friends!
Now it is on the Worldwide official website. See the details from the link below:

And I participated in local TEDx event as a volunteer translator in 2017. It was just amazing! Every single moment I felt something special by the words from powerful speakers, the event hall was always filled with excitement, laughing and tears... I was so lucky to be involved as a member.
Sometimes I make healthy sweets by myself. I made a special chocolate cake without using white suger, eggs, milk. Instead of that, I used tofu and soy milk, and Amazake. etc. Amazake, Japanese sweet drink made from fermented rice could be the alternative.
Teach, Learn, Share
l would love to share everything I know and experienced from my simple life.
How to cook Japanese food( sushi rolls, pot dishes, etc.)
We love Onigiri or rice balls so let's make your original rice balls together!! Yum!! They are the best lunch for picnic! Sometimes I try vegetatian recipes, if you have any ideas, please teach me how to cook it!
You must be amazed by the awesome mountain view from here. The air is always fresh and and you can enjoy morning walk in comfortable silence. I hope the weather will be perfect during your stay!
If you would like to visit Tateyama Alpine route area, we would like to give you some advice about it. The way to get there is easy and simple.
My father knows a lot about mountain area and Toyama's famous spots. I'm learning about them little by little from him. He loves meeting new people like me.
We love to sing songs along with the guitar! Now I'm practicing guitar but I always make funny sounds :-P I'm still on the way!
Summer and Fall are the best season to pick vegetables at my garden! We love to have fresh vegetables on the dinner table and try new recipes with them! :-)
