Hi! Welcome to my page. My name is Anna (Well, that what I go by since my real name is too difficult for everyone to say). I'm 20 years old. Since I go by Anna, I got a funny nickname which is Anna Banana :) I'm Vietnamese girl, who was born and raised in Ukraine, which sounds insane and so strange to everyone I meet =)

I moved to the US in May 2015 for Student Summer Work&Travel exchange program. Right now living Sacramento, California.

I'm pretty easy going, but pretty honest and straight. I'm trying to be organized, plan my life (cause failure to plan is planning to fail) and appreciate all the good and little things I have in my life.

I think people should take risks, try new things and get out of their comfort zone as WE LIVE ONLY ONCE.

I truly believe in LAW OF ATTRACTION (if you know what I'm talking about there is a BIG THUMBS UP) and that my life is under my control.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I my background is pretty different to be an Asian, growing up in Ukraine and traveled to the States I always felt so lucky cause I initially spoke 4 languages which means I have lived 4 lives for me.

Since there is a stereotype that only rich people can afford traveling, I'm here to prove that YOU DON'T NEED MUCH MONEY to travel. I want to give everyone the chance to see the world no matter what race, gender, nationality they are or how rich they are.

If everyone in the world starts travelling there will be a better understanding of cultures which will raise the tolerance between nations and erase all the boarders and prove that all nations can get along as well as us and our friends or family.

Interests

I'm really into traveling ,road trips and making every moment of it special. I love talking to random people and discovering so many new, interesting, weird and even scary things.

All that lead to my hobby of photography and filming. I literally capture every moment as I can't rely on my memory :D I do YouTube vlogs and I would love to start new topic on my channel about different languages, accents and cultures.

I love music and singing (which I'm not really good at but that never stopped me from doing what I like doing ). I used to play piano and learned some guitar on YouTube =)

I love cooking random strange non-recipe stuff, especially at night ( that's when I get inspiration to cook =)

I'm not so picky about music. Normally I would like anything popular on the radio. mostly pop, country or classic. Just no heavy music and no rap. Some of the artists I like that came to my mind: Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Jessie J, Maroon 5, Taylor Swift, Sam Hunt, Colbie Caillat, Avicii, One Direction, One Republic, Aerosmith, NickelBack, The Script, Westlife, Bruno Mars, John Legend, Adam Lambert, Mariah Carey, Katy Perry and ... a lot more.

I'm a huge FAN of covers. So I have plenty of favorite Youtubers. My favorite are Boyce Avenue, Hurt Hugo, Sam Tsui, Tyler Ward, Tiffany Alvord.
I don't read a lot of story-books, since I like science and self-development books (as 7 Habits of Highly Effective People) and I was a big fan of psychology and books like (Lie to Me).

Movies and shows (Not picky as well, but): The green mile, Forrest Gump, Sherlock Holmes, Pursuit of Happiness, 7 pounds, 1 liter of tears (the Japanese one)// How I met your mother, Psychic, Mentalist, Lie to Me, The Scrubs, The originals, Pretty Little liars, Vampire Diaries (the last seasons are boring though =)) and a lot more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Move to another country by myself facing my fears of being alone and managing cultural shock of another country.

Getting rid of the fear of meeting random people.

Won the national competition in Economics in Ukraine.
