About Me
Heya people ♥
Most important thing first: my accent will confuse you.
I am fairly outgoing, though introverted which means I can be quiet at times. It doesn't mean I am not enjoying things!
I love adventures, especially with others. Visiting places on my own is great, but so much better when surrounded by amazing people!
Nature is my main drive when travelling, especially seeing wildlife. Bird watcher and bander in becoming, I am looking to see species I have never seen before and watch their behaviour. I'm nothing like Owen Wilson in the Big Year though, I promise. Big fond of mammals, snakes, spiders, insects, frogs, turtles. Everything, really.
Not so much into plants, though I can spend ages enjoying looking at them.
I'm not much of a drinker but I appreciate the occasionnal beer. Big tea lover though!
I like photography, though I've stopped for a bit now realizing I was focusing on taking good pictures more than enjoying the moment.
I started crochet a few months back and love it. It does sound like I am an old lady but my biggest goal is to become an old crazy cat-lady. Nearly there! I can make you a headband in half a day, if you'd like.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to meet people and learn about other cultures and civilizations around the world. I've made the most wonderful friends while traveling and it is probably the best way of meeting amazing people again!
Interests
When hiking, I stop about 678 times to look at wildlife. It can be birds (mostly), arthropods, mammals, reptiles, etc. Any animal, really. And I've learned that this can be super annoying for some people... :P
I guess I can't spend a day without listening to music ; from old rock to funk, from Elvis Presley to Editors, from The Beatles to Ludovico Einaudi. No rap nor R'n'B though.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: mostly old rock but open to any other kind of music.
Series: very cliche, I have watched Friends at least 6 times. I have an espisode left and will start it again for the 8th time. B99, Sherlock, Mindhunter, The Alienist, Atypical, The End of the F**cking World, Sex Education.
David Attenborough's documentaries
Movies: action movies are my favourites, especially sci-fi ones (Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel ones) and ones about world wars (Fury, Dunkirk, etc.). Some Tarantino ones.
Now, I would like to know your opinion on Tarantino's movies, please.
Books: crime novels (Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie), stoicism philosophy (just starting, but Ryan Holliday's books are good starters).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba diving for a week Thailand; spending the whole winter in Quebec by -30°C (loved it!); holding amazing birds, from passerines to raptors; watching flocks of 20,000 grackles and red-winged blackbirds migrating south above us during their fall migration at sunset.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning about anything and learning new things, so anything you love and that you are willing to share with me is perfect. ♥
I would love to learn about yoga and meditation, especially mindfulness as I tend to get stuck in my head a lot.
I can teach you how to crochet (I promise, it's not lame), bird things, maybe some drawing tips
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of laughing, adventuring, and food. Lots of it ♥
