About Me

Hey visitor, it's me, Gabor. I'm a 28 year old geek. (with only a few geeky traits) I'm passionate about programming and therefore I hit the keyboard all day long as a profession. My second language is PHP and just then comes the english. :) Even though the stereotype, sometimes I leave my beloved computer and then I do the following things: riding on bicycle around the city, taking photos, going to gym, eating yummi stuff, drinking good beers and wines, reading and so on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet people from other nations, and discuss the curiosities, foods, matters and the basic culture of the country. After living for one year in Vienna I think I can show both some interesting, less-known and a bunch of hot, touristy spots in the city. Additionally I'm in love with my home country, Hungary, so I can tell you about the hungarian lifestyle, language, customs and can give you some tips if you plan to visit it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I couldn't pick just a few of these. My music taste depends on the mood. Most of the time I listen to some electronic drops, but I also like pop, rock, rap, classic, jazz, chill, country genres. And sometimes I run into a Justin Bieber song accidentally. (luckily you can easily skip to the next music on youtube :D)
Speaking of movies, there are a tons of favs. If I must go on an uninhabited island with five movies of my choice then these five would be: Interstellar, Pursuit of Happyness, Seven Pounds, The Time Traveler's Wife, A Good Year.
In books I prefer the informative ones in the subject of personal-growth, psychology, IT, body language. I usually don't read novellas, just in case if I want to develop my english OR if the author is Tamas Frei, a great hungarian novellist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I managed to survive a week without coffee.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you hungarian, english and a very little of german. Or if you prefer we can train to stand on my slackline. Not easy at all, far from. Or if you like to play darts, then... okay, I wouldn't say I can teach you, but we can train together. Same applies to badminton.

What I Can Share with Hosts

First of all my most valuable asset: my time. My experience about travelling, living in Hungary and Austria, life lessons learned the hard way. Some of my knowledge about programming, languages. (though I'm a really bad at teaching :D)
