About Me
"Those pictures with myself within them are those taken by someone else who i met."
Hi, my name is Su Yeon, age 21, born in Seoul, South Korea. Born to a pianist mom, photographer dad, and a grandma who loves to write, I think i'm pretty open to numerous interests.
During my stay in the NL,I met amazing people who really made me feel like home, and i still found it necessary to challenge myself to numerous unexpected situations. Of course, Seoul is already a big city, but i don't want to limit the stage of my life to my home city. So, I've traveled many European countries.
I think I'm outgoing, enthusiastic person, love to learn languages, love to talk, love to move around and i'm a quite good at taking photos.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to the musics that make me feel move. At the same time, while living alone far from my hometown to study in Seoul, i found that it is very important to make a certain amount of time that i can go deep inside of myself, so I also do love to listen to calm musics.
Naturally, i've been interested in many movies' osts, especially those from a movie named 'About Time'. My favorite book is 'The Catcher in the Rye', which made me fall in love with it until now. I still remember the last scene of the book, the main character looking at her young sister on merry-go-round.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My exchange in the Netherlands!!! It is needless to say. I DO love the country, Do love the people! So hard to summarize all the feelings and stories i made there,,, but it was.. i bet that year was the best in my whole life. Het is heel erg bijzonder!
Normally i would like to travel alone and one day i suddenly realized that no matter when and where i go, there has always been someone who could take a picture of me, have a deep conversation, hang out to some local places, etc. It is pretty hard to say that this kind of experience is 'one' amazing thing, but i've been believing that it is truly amazing thing happening to me when i travel.
I don't want to be seen as a tedious, boring person, but once I've written an essay in English about eco-friendly components of World Cup held in South Africa and London Olympics comparing them with next Winter Olympics City, Pyeongchang in South Korea. Interested in my essay, I've been invited by the Embassy of South Africa in Korea, and talked a lot. Above all, it is the most amazing thing that now I'm studying in the Netherlands! yahoo!
Teach, Learn, Share
I do believe in the power of languages. Not only for communication, but also as a very important means to make and understand friends in different cultures.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook some Korean foods, but i would rather say you will be able to have much better food with reasonale price right out of my place because my place is university district.
Im not a big fan of typical Korean food, usually prefer good breads and dutch cheeses for breakfast haha
But one thing to say for sure, many people think that Korean foods are too spicy, but that is not true at all. We have many different foods that make you feel enjoyable. Even though you are vegan or vegetarian, you are not gonna meet any difficulty adjusting to my culture.
And if you are willing to spend more money and time travelling other cities, i can arrange some other schedules for going to other unknown local places in/nearby Seoul or even my hometown in the south called Jeonju. It is the city of FOOD in Korea:)
I love both Seoul and Jeonju but if you are really willing to stay longer, i do recommend Jeju island, a paradise.
