We are a happy newlywed couple. We met in Ghana, West Africa where Mario was working for the Peace Corps and Carlijn was traveling. We lived in Holland, then in California with Mario's Mexican family, and are now moving to Charleston SC to start a whole new life together. We are open minded, curious, and friendly people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mario likes meeting new people and Carlijn... likes sleeping. Mario thinks he is very interesting and Carlijn... actually is.... such a delicate flower! Travelling and meeting new people is an amazing way to stay flexible, open minded, and learn about people, love and life!

Interests

Reading, observing people, dancing (5 rhythms), soul searching, walking in nature, the ocean when it's not trying to kill us, healthy (vegan) eating, watching movies, laughing and being real.
