About Me

Hii :) I'm Marta. People describe me as a nice girl, a bit clumsy, but with the will to learn from life and people everywhere I go. I'm a person in seek of connection with intention in my world.
I studied Sociology because I wanted to understand why I felt different from the society norm and ended up complementing it with environmental education since I found in nature all the answers I want. Now I work as a guide tour in the stunning Cuenca region and part time international travel educator and manager.

What else can I say? I love music in all kinds of forms. Listening, dancing, playing, singing. I need to read, write or paint in a weekly basis if I don't want to start to feel outside of myself. I'm into movement, yoga, meditation, dance and hiking. I also embrace absurdity and contradiction as part of our human nature. And I've been a loner in search of community. That's what couchsurfing has given me. A place of genuine persons with inspiring stories that has lead me to explore my own.

Now, my heart is in a lot of places at the same time. Social and Nature Photography is now a huge part of my life. A little of my work: https://iworking.es/exposicion/martagonzalez/

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet people, to form nice bonds, to help each other grow and to create nice memories together. Couchsurfing has taught me a more responsible, funny but also mature way of traveling.
To be able to remember a place, not only because of its beauty but because its people too. The ones who made the trip unforgettable. There's this unique and intimate feeling that you get. I will always be grateful and try to replicate it whenever I go.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach spanish, share some recipes, piano lessons, playlists, art, dance, share experiences, laughs, history, wine or tea.
we can chat about life and take a walk.

What I Can Share with Hosts

i can offer a safe space to talk about anything and be yourself. I'm not here to judge anyone nor to take advantage of the hospitality of the persons that help me, so I love to be a nice memory and at least increase a little bit the wellness of my host.
The best I can do is to be myself and hope that we can be good friends!
If it's okay with my host, I also like to cook a traditional meal as a form of expressing how grateful I'm.
