About Me

Hi everyone! Ohayo Minna-San!

I'm Alvaro, 30 years old and originally from Barcelona. I lived a few years in Berlin to finish my studies in Sound Engineering and decided to stay for longer than I first expected. In 2017 I decided to quit my job and went on a 7 month-trip to Indonesia and South East Asia. Since then I haven’t had a “home” longer than 4 months.

For that reason I am unfortunately not able to host anyone at the moment.

Recently I was granted the Work&Holiday visa for Japan and I will be traveling around this wonderful country from April 2019. I think Couch Surfing can be a great way to meet locals, learn from the culture and of course.. the language. My biggest goal during this trip :)

I consider myself a very open-minded, easy going and sympathetic person, always eager to know new people and share experiences. I also have a deep sense of responsibility and gratitude. I don’t only look for a place to stay or sleep at, I want to experience unique moments with anyone one willing to do the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The reason why I'm on Couchsurfing is to know new people and discover new locations. As a foreigner, I think it is more interesting and authentic to see through the eyes of a local.

Interests

Hmm the usual stuff I guess... listening and producing music, reading books, hanging out outdoors (especially if the weather is good) hanging out with friends, as well as riding bike or playing football. Diving has recently become a major passion and discovery in my life. I am also a languages addict!!! Let´s practice together :)

Of course traveling is also one of my biggest hobbies!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very open minded when it comes to music... surprise me with your recommendations!

and I have too many favorite films to write down so I'll just name some: American Beauty, Lock & Stock, Equilibrium, Good Will Hunting etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think we should talk about this while we have a drink ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pleased to share/teach everything I know and would be grateful for any kind of knowledge I could learn from... thoughts, ideas, experiences, facts... anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer my time and my gratitude by sharing and/or teaching you any of the languages I speak, Spanish cuisine, diving, football, sound engineering.. let’s find out together!
