Overview
About Me
Hey! My name is Chia-Pei, a Taiwanese.
Trying to reach out my dream and grab it, currently it's being happy and meaningful. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Can't wait to meet new friends and share each other's stories. If we can make something useful, I will say better make positive influence upon each other, or supports will bring strength too.
Interests
Travelling will get me profits! I've been to Korea, China, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. I'm in China at the moment. (Near Shanghai)
Next wishing stops: Germany, Turkey, Spain, Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Russia and..
Mostly I like exploring myself and the world, taking pictures for remarkable moments is a must do!
I love making little hand crafts for someone I care about, for example, drawing a cartoon figure by hand or graphic software, making an unique card for an ordinary day, not for any particular reason.
I love night markets very much, every food in the market can make me feel in the heaven! I stayed in Australia for two years, what had been wandering through my head was not my family or friends, it was the night market!
Foodie foodie!
Sometimes I play basketball and guitar, just for fun.
(NOT AN EXPERT!)
Music, Movies, and Books
[MUSIC]
I like listening to music, although I don't sing well.
My favorite musicians are Ed Sheeran, Pink, Elle King, The Burning Hotels, Demi Lovato, Daughtry... etc.
[MOVIE]
I enjoy the moment while I am watching Blue Is The Warmest Color, Farewell My Concubine(霸王別姬), Pride and Prejudice, Inception, 3 idiots, Hello Ghost, Life of Pi. Amadeus Mozart was way too talented!
And my favorite movie is Seediq Bale (賽德克•巴萊), it's an epic Taiwanese movie! A story about Taiwanese aborigines and Japanese rulers in 30's. It brought many issues that you can imagine, not blaming any other side, more like telling the stories from different standpoints. Moreover, the way the director filmed wasn't bloody at all, it's artistic! If you never watched it, you gotta check it out!
[BOOK]
-Le Comte de Monte-Cristo. Oh right! Don't push my buttons or I'll hunt you down.
-Pride and Prejudice. Hmmm... I'm a girl. BTW, the movie was great as well.
-The Swarm. I like the way Frank Schätzing write the mysterious story.
-Sherlock Holmes. I have the deluxe edition!
-Wolf Totem(狼圖騰). It's a sad and homesick story, you won't put it down till you finish the last page! Now wolves to me is not scary but respectable.
Somehow I feel sad atm. (Not because I look down on wolves, just the story.)
-El Alquimista(The Alchemist / a Fable About Following Your Dream), I read it when I was a teenager, I lost track of time when I was reading it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A New Zealand road trip!
My dream came true in one year. I wished I could get on a journey by living in a car, and it did happen when I was in New Zealand in July, 2016.
Spending 17 days in the car with my friend, it will be hard to vanish from my head, I didn't know I couldn't bear all the inconvenience during the trip, well here I am, I am alive and energized. :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I am improving my English ability and learning new knowledge about sales and mechanical stuff.
